Busy Hands Pre-School
Busy Hands Pre-School is a community preschool operated by the First Christian Church (DOC) for children ages 3-5.
Out of the congregation's concern that a preschool experience should be available for our community's children, Busy Hands was established in 1973 as a nonprofit nursery school. The church continues to support Busy Hands through prayer, financial underwriting of the budget, and the Busy Hands Board which helps with administrative responsibilities.
The philosophy of Busy Hands is to provide preschool children with an atmosphere of warmth, trust, affection, and an environment conducive to learning.
Two classes are available for 3 year olds: one in the morning and one in the afternoon on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Two classes are available for 4 year olds: one in the morning and one in the afternoon on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The school calendar runs from September to May.
Busy Hands education program provides a wholesome environment for learning experiences. Children who attend Busy Hands will interact with other children their age and learn the beginnings of many life skills such as:
